Cost $216 for 7-week session (includes +3% Fess for Online Payment or mail check for $210 to NECS)

“Cooking Around the World” classes are for chefs ages 4-9, who have shown interest in cooking and who would like to learn how to chop, peel, measure and to expand their skills with recipe preparation and basic kitchen tasks. During each class, we will explore a specific region and cuisine and we will explore the culture and geography as well. The chefs will not need to provide a snack, as they will have the opportunity to taste what they made in class. They should bring a water bottle with them to stay hydrated.

You and your chef will receive:

* the recipes we prepared in class
* an introduction to countries and the regions we “visit” in class
* video and/or pictures of your chefs in action

We use natural, seasonal and organic ingredients whenever available, and do not use nut-based products, raw meat or shellfish. We focus on introducing the small chefs to new cuisines, tastes and the cultures representing the recipes they cook. Parents, to complete registration, please make sure that we are aware of any food allergies, texture avoiding issues that your children may have and other pertinent information.

Sharon NDiaye is the owner/teacher of “Cooking with Kids” and she has taught hundreds of children in our community. She is passionate about multicultural education and cross-cultural understanding and is a self-proclaimed “foodie!”

With a background in restaurants, international cultural immersion programs and children’s education, “Cooking with Kids” is a natural combination of Sharon’s passions. “Cooking Around the World” classes have helped many children learn important life skills and have expanded the food repertoire of hundreds of children in our community!
